研究方向：（1）胚胎干细胞多能性维持的分子机制；（2）小鼠早期胚胎发育的分子调控机制；（3）肿瘤的致病基因及其作用机制。

研究成果：

已在包括Cell、Nature、PNAS等杂志上发表论文50余篇，他引次数超2800次。在胚胎干细胞中MEK/ERK信号通路的重要功能和机制方面取得系列突破性成果，发现ERK信号在胚胎干细胞中必不可少的作用，以及揭示ERK非依赖的MEK功能。
